Why wait until you go to sleep at night to let your subconscious rich insights you can use to direct your life with authentic vision? Why shut your eyes to the language of the soul that is so eager to feed you with inspiring information at any time you ask?
So often, upon waking, we lose the thread of information woven through our dreams. Bits and pieces may remain - snapshots. Yet, for many, rarely does a full picture emerge that can be fully considered, made sense of, and used to forward one’s goals and desires.
That’s why working with “dreams” in a wide-awake manner is so valuable. The trick to accessing the subconscious storehouse of information, as well as your soul source, is to quiet the ego mind.  

The judgmental ego mind
The ego mind is that part of your consciousness that judges everything you do according to whether or not it feels “safe” to the ego. It tries to label everything good or bad, right or wrong. You may know the ego as your inner critic, your constant companion old worrywart. One woman I know even gave her ego an apt name, Miss Poopy Pants. This enables her to have a sense of humour about how her ego mind likes to cause an undue stink. This also empowers her not to take the ego mind too seriously. Would you let Miss Poppy Pants run your life?
The ego mind serves a valuable role of helping you to create an individual identity in the world. That’s pretty useful here in earth school.
And, the ego mind can alert us to real danger. Another plus. Yet, for most of us, too often we let the ego mind run the show. We’re in a habit of believing everything our ego tells us, and it usually tells us horror stories. It’s always going to the worst case scenario. The ego mind thinks in black and white when our abilities and options come from a full-color spectrum.

Quieting and retraining the brain
Creativity in any form from writing and cooking to gardening and carpentry has the power to quiet the ego mind. As human beings we are hardwired to get satisfaction from using our hands to create something. It’s instant gratification. As a business owner, this is a nice change of pace from all the planning, strategising and implementation that can take years to see a significant result.
I believe that’s why traditional vision boards, introduced to the public through the movie The Secret and other law of attraction experts like Jack Canfield, Esther and Jerry Hicks, Lisa Nichols and Michael Beckwith, caught the public’s imagination. First, it gave them a tool for retraining the brain – for balancing all that negative ego-mind speak with a way of more consistently thinking reassuring, affirmative positive thought for one’s goals and dreams. Secondly, the law of attraction gave people hope for a better, brighter future that was in their control to create.
The only downside to a tradition vision board – a collage of all the things someone might hope to do in the world, achieve and attain – is that it still gives the ego mind something to comment on. When I started running workshops, people would express fears like: “I don’t want to put the wrong picture on the board because what if it comes true!” “I don’t have the right magazine for the pictures I need,” “I’m not sure I really know what I want, so I never finish my vision board,” “I want to get this right, so just tell me how to do it right!” The worries went on and on.
I was happy to be able to offer a process that turned this worry off.

Intuitive dream boards Intuitive dream boards can expand what you know about yourself and your life path, without setting off the ego alarm. That’s because you come to the creation of an intuitive dream board without an agenda, without any expectations about what will show up. Ahhhh, what freedom! This organic, from the heart and soul process enables you to expand your ability to believe more boldly. Because you aren’t consciously directing the collage result, you are more likely to see your own magnificence and wisdom in a whole new way that is easier to accept and integrate. We often “think” we know what we want. Yet that is often based on what is culturally popular or what other people are doing for “success”. An intuitive dream board allows you to see what your soul is hungry for. You see what will truly bring you satisfaction. Things appear on your intuitive dream board that will happily surprise and amaze you.

Common dream board vision information that people receive includes:

• A personal traits that should be focused on for your significant personal growth
• A specific action – like meditation, relaxation, play, learning, receiving – that will reap the most benefits by releasing blocked manifesting energy
• Insights about your current energetic state “behind the scenes”. Something we rarely glimpse any other way
• Status report about where you are on your path, like a current life phase
• A view of what is right on the verge of manifesting into physical reality

Like your sleeping dreams, intuitive dream boards are uniquely able to unfold a special message for you. By acting on the information you receive, you honour your soul and thus invite a greater flow of insights and Ahas!

For instance, to me this "Behind the Lens" intuitive dream board presents images on the right side that speak to a rising spiritual reception.
My golden core essence light extending up into (blue) knowledge and communication. An intense meditative-like focus is helpful as well as perception from within, from spirit. From my inner eye I am looking at what's within.
On the left side of the intuitive dream board I perceive that the multiple people connections I'm making are richly intricate. These human connections are launching balloons of energy out into the world that are being seen and received by many people attracted to this energy.
It's like my communications and presence are being happily greeted (well, maybe my ego mind also likes that hopeful belief).
For each of us, our perceptions come from a specific life experience, personality makeup, astrological influence and life mission focus.
